Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules for using DocuPivot, the free PDF tools at docupivot.com. DocuPivot is a brand of ToolsPivot and is run by the ToolsPivot team; "we" and "us" in these Terms mean that team. By using DocuPivot you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

DocuPivot offers 57 tools to merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign and protect PDF files. They are free, need no account and add no watermark. Some tools run entirely in your browser; others send your file to our server, and the AI PDF Editor's AI features also use a third-party AI provider. Our Privacy Policy explains which is which. We may add, change, limit or remove any tool at any time.

2. Who may use DocuPivot

You may use DocuPivot if you are able to form a binding agreement with us and your use is lawful where you are.

3. Your documents

• They stay yours. You keep every right you have in the files you process. You give us only the permission needed to process a file and return your result, and nothing more. We do not use your documents to train anything.
• You must be entitled to use them. By opening or uploading a file, you confirm that you have the right to process it and that it contains nothing unlawful.
• Server results expire. A file sent to a server tool, and its result, are deleted automatically 30 minutes after the job is created, whether or not you downloaded the result. Save what you need in time. We cannot recover an expired job.
• Keep your original. Always keep a copy of the file you started with. Browser tools work on your device, and if your browser closes or crashes before you save, the work is lost.

4. Limits

Server tools accept files of up to 100 MB each, and each visitor can run up to 20 server jobs an hour. The AI PDF Editor's AI features have a daily limit per visitor. These limits keep DocuPivot fast and available for everyone, and we may change them. We may also slow down, block or suspend access that puts the service or other users at risk.

5. Acceptable use

When you use DocuPivot, you agree that you will not:

• use the tools to break the law, infringe anyone's rights or harm anyone;
• process documents you have no right to use, or upload malware or any other harmful or unlawful material;
• use the password and unlocking tools on documents you do not own or are not authorised to open, or use any tool to get around a protection that you have no right to remove;
• use the tools to forge, alter or falsify documents, signatures or records in order to deceive anyone;
• overload or disrupt the site, get around rate limits or our bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), or access the tools in bulk with scripts or bots without our permission;
• resell, rebrand or present our tools as your own, or use automated access to build a competing service.

6. The AI PDF Editor

• Its AI features send your request and, for some actions, the text of your document to a third-party AI provider, where it is handled under that provider's terms. Do not use them on confidential or sensitive material.
• AI output can be wrong, incomplete or invented. Check every change before you rely on the result.
• You are responsible for the documents you produce with it and for how you use them.

7. Results are provided "as is"

We work hard to make the tools accurate, but we give no warranty that any result will be correct, complete or fit for your purpose. In particular:

• conversions between PDF and Office, image or e-book formats may not keep every detail of a complex layout;
• OCR can misread text, especially on poor scans, handwriting or unusual fonts;
• compressing to a target size can lower image quality, and a very small target may not be reachable for every file;
• a redacted, flattened or password-protected file should be checked before you share it, to make sure it does what you need;
• DocuPivot does not verify anyone's identity, and we make no claim that a document signed with our tools meets the legal requirements for a signature where you are.

You use the tools and their output at your own risk.

8. Advertising and other services

DocuPivot is free because it shows ads. Our Privacy Policy explains how advertising and cookies work and how to control them. DocuPivot relies on third-party services and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for those services or websites, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

9. Our content

The DocuPivot name, the site, its design and the content we publish belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use the tools for their intended purpose, but you may not copy, scrape or reproduce the site or its content beyond that without our permission.

10. Copyright complaints

If you believe your work has been infringed through DocuPivot, our Copyright and DMCA Policy explains how to send a notice, how a counter-notice works and how we deal with repeat infringers.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DocuPivot and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, or for any loss arising from your use of the site or tools, from being unable to use them, or from relying on a result. This includes lost data, a file that expired before you downloaded it, and any consequence of a result being wrong. The tools are provided without any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent the law permits.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold DocuPivot harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the site or tools, your breach of these Terms or the law, or any claim that a file you processed through DocuPivot infringed someone else's rights.

13. Suspension

We may suspend or end your access at any time if you break these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using DocuPivot at any time.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the courts located in India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless local mandatory law provides otherwise.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms as DocuPivot changes, and we will change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using DocuPivot after an update, you accept the new Terms.
